Maui Health announced today that CEO Lynn Fulton will be stepping down from her position, with her departure effective May 3, 2026. Fulton's decision comes as she plans to relocate to central Illinois to be closer to her family, marking a significant personal and professional transition for the healthcare leader.
Fulton has served as the chief executive officer of Maui Health since January 1, 2024, leading the organization through a period of growth and transformation. During her tenure, she has focused on strengthening the organization and ensuring access to quality care for the people of Maui, as stated in a Maui Health statement. "Since assuming the role on Jan. 1, Fulton has focused on strengthening the organization and ensuring access to quality care for the people of Maui," it read.
The healthcare system, which includes Maui Memorial Medical Center, Kula Hospital, and Lanai Community Hospital, has not yet announced a successor to Fulton. Details regarding the search for a new CEO will be released at a later date. The organization stated it is committed to ensuring a smooth transition and maintaining the high level of care that Maui Health is known for.
